Beginner 1 Japanese Class in Amsterdam FAQ
Q: I’m a complete beginner. Can I join this class?
A: Yes. This Beginner 1 class is designed for complete beginners. No prior Japanese knowledge is required. We start from the basics and gradually build foundational communication skills.
Q: What textbook do you use?
A: We use Genki 1 textbook for this group class, and Genki 1workbook for your home work.
Students are asked to purchase the textbook individually. Details will be shared after enrollment.
Q: What level does Beginner 1 group class cover?
A: Beginner 1 class covers Genki 1 chapter 1 to 3. It is suitable for learners who are new to Japanese or who want to build a solid foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and basic conversation.
Q: What happens if I can’t attend a class?
A: Since this is a group class, we do not offer make-up lessons or rescheduling for individual absences. However, your teacher will inform you of the lesson content and the assigned homework for that day. You are also welcome to ask any questions regarding the missed material during the following week's class.
Q: What can I take after completing this course?
A: You will continue on Beginner 2 Class, or you can swtich to the private lesson.
Q: Is there homework?
A: Yes. Homework is assigned every week using the workbook, and students are expected to complete and submit the assignments as part of the course.
Cancellation Policy
Course confirmation - Minimum participants: A minimum of 4 participants is required for each group class. - Confirmation timing: The course will be confirmed once this minimum number is reached. - Cancellation due to low enrollment: If there are fewer than 4 participants 4 days before the first lesson, the course will be cancelled, and a full refund will be issued. Cancellation by the participant - More than 4 days before the first lesson: 100% refund - 3 days before the first lesson: 50% refund - 2 days or less before the first lesson: No refund Missed lessons and rescheduling - Group classes cannot be rescheduled.
